TReasured
Step into Mandy Romero’s world as her trans archive, TReasured, unfolds in the window of News From Nowhere. Her rare books, personal memories, and cherished mementos are curated into a living glimpse of her home, spilling stories and trans history onto Bold Street.
Through rare books, handwritten notes, intimate photographs, and cherished keepsakes, Mandy shares a deeply personal collection that celebrates the everyday beauty and resilience of trans experience. Each object tells a story — of discovery, transformation, and the quiet strength found in being seen.
Now, TReasured finds a temporary home in the window of News from Nowhere, Liverpool’s much-loved radical bookshop. For over fifty years, News from Nowhere has stood at the heart of the city’s LGBTQ+ and activist communities — a space of solidarity, ideas, and belonging. The collaboration between Mandy’s archive and the shop’s legacy creates a living dialogue between personal memory and collective history, echoing the spirit of resistance and care that runs through both.
