What we got up to...
We launched the Queer Places exhibition just in time for Liverpool Pride, kicking things off with a sold-out opening party that brought together artists, activists, and community members in celebration. The space quickly became a hub for creativity and connection, later hosting Liverpool Architecture Festival for the launch of their autumn programme.
We also welcomed Liverpool University’s LGBTQ+ Society for an evening of sharing and learning about the city’s rich queer history. Throughout the month, we hosted a series of hands-on workshops — from zine-making and scrapbooking to model building and memory mapping — each designed to explore the art of archiving and creative storytelling.
Highlights included our Pride weekend workshops: a beautiful mapping session with artist Luke Fawcett and a poetry workshop led by Grace Tompkins and Hannah Kelly, using words as a way of preserving queer memory. The space was filled with art, conversation, laughter, and community — a living archive in action.
What people had to say...
