“A gay old time for homos, fauxmos, gender-blenders, full time queers & part-time brendas.”
A melting pot of queer joy, this once-a-month club night has been providing a home for the alternative gay scene of Liverpool since 2015. Founded by a group of friends, the event emerged after spotting a gap in Liverpool’s gay scene, which they felt excluded the older and diverse scenes of the LGBTQIA+ community. Inspired by Liverpool’s 90’s club scene - with the likes of Garlands - it is hosted at 24 Kitchen Street, with music including a wide range of new wave, old rave, disco, electro, rock, pop, and soul.
Its vibrant poster designs can often be spotted around Liverpool and have become an iconic feature of the event. Typically referencing queer subculture, iconic pop stars and art, they announce playful themes for queer souls and allies to dress up and party along to.
